555! For you USA peps, this is considered a dud number combination. For you Japanese peps, this is one of the tokusatsu hero. For us Sydneysiders, this is when we start scrambling and huddling together, no matter if it's hot or cold, like proper rugby team who screams '2, 4, 6, 8! HUT! HUT! HUT!', and sometimes we do elbow each other on the ribs, step on each other's feet, stare murder at someone because he/she cuts your line... *cough* I digress. The reason of the huddling together is because...
...we want to get on the free bus.
Cue of readers screaming: YOU ARE SO CHEAP.
Yes! 555 bus is a free ride from the Opera House to Central Station, which the distance, depending on how long your legs are, can take from 25 minutes to 45 minutes. It will be... 35 minutes for me... I am NOT that short. Wait... I think it was 40 minutes... Anyway! It's a significant walk!
Of course there are people who use it just because it's there... Another CHEAP scream? Yes please! I guess I am guilty for this too. But who doesn't?
Especially for today, I was really grateful for it. Today is church day. When I was walking to the bus stop, I simply thought this, "Hey God, you know what will be cool? It'll be cool when I arrive at the bus stop.. not too long after, the 555 arrives. It would be so awesome. But if not, that's OK too. Could you make the bus come quick, please? Thanks."
I arrived at the bus stop, getting ready for the ticket. There were two bus approaching... both of them go to where the church is. But wait! Just behind the two buses, there it was, the 555!
Quote. "Lucky! Thank you, God!" End quote.
Well... there was the start of this blog. Because in the bus, I thought it would be awesome to have a blog about 365 days of being grateful. Bear in mind that this idea is so not original, because if you Google it, there will be other sites already. A lot. Makes you wonder if 'nothing is original anymore'. I should make that one as a T-shirt slogan, unless... someone beats me to it...
And then I missed my stop.
...oh well. At least it was only one stop.
